At Farm Paws, we understand the importance of providing personalized care for each dog in our home. We tailor each dog's experience to ensure they feel comfortable and happy during their stay with us.
Our daily routine involves catering to each dog’s unique needs. This includes feeding them and administering any medications or supplements according to their individual schedules, providing daily exercise and playtime based on their energy levels and preferences, as well as following specific potty break routines as needed.
All dogs in our care have access to water at all times. We provide large water bowls that are easily accessible to your furry friends, allowing them to stay hydrated whenever they need.
-
Yes, all dogs must be up to date on their vaccinations, flea and tick medications, as well as wormer before boarding. We ask that all pet parents share a copy of their pets vaccination records before dropping off.
Adhering to these requirements helps with maintaining a safe and healthy environment for all animals at on our farm and in our care. Thank you for understanding!

1. Food: Please provide all the food your dog will need for their stay. You can either bring pre-portioned labeled bags or a container with the correct measuring scoop. The container must be labeled with your dog's name, number of feedings, and amount per feeding.
2. Treats: If your dog has preferred treats, feel free to pack those as well. Especially if your dogs tummy is sensitive to diet changes.
3. Comfort Item: Bringing a comfort item that smells like home can help your dog feel more at ease during their boarding stay. This could be a blanket, a dog bed, or their favorite toy.
4. Optional: You may bring your dogs food bowls. However, we keep extra dog bowls on hand that undergo thorough cleaning processes between uses. Moreover, we provide various toys, crates and blankets as needed. Note that not all dogs require crating, as we have a dedicated dog room to accommodate non-crate trained dogs.
Feel free to reach out if you have any specific questions, instructions or need further assistance preparing for your dog's stay with us.

Yes, you will receive updates about your dog during their stay including periodic pictures and videos.

We understand the importance of providing a safe and nurturing environment for all the dogs in our care. We will not crate your dog unless you instruct us to for their comfort and well-being.
Dogs are crated based on pet parents' instructions or if they cannot be trusted when they are not under direct supervision.
However, please note that as your full-time pet sitter, I spend the daytime supervising your pup, loving and caring for them as if they were my own.
-
We understand the importance of ensuring your dog is comfortable and safe overnight. While we do not allow dogs in our bed, your furry friend is welcome to sleep on our cozy couch, the floor, a designated dog bed, a soft blanket on the floor, in our designated dog room or even in a properly sized crate, depending on their level of needed supervision and typical sleep routine in their own home. Rest assured, we prioritize your dog's well-being and aim to provide a suitable sleeping arrangement for a restful night!

While we do not have a fenced-in yard, we offer over 300 acres of surrounding corn and bean fields with safe trails for your furry friends to explore with us. We provide 50-foot long lines for secure adventures on these trails. Dogs with proven recall skills and permission from their pet parents can enjoy off-leash time. For those who cannot be off-leash outside or are limited to long line explorations, we offer a large, safely enclosed farm shop for playtime and off-leash exercise.
-
On our farm, we prioritize the safety of all dogs in our care. Despite not having a fenced-in yard, we implement strict measures. Dogs are always leashed before any door to the outside is opened and they can explore over 300 acres of safe trails using our 50-foot long lines. Dogs prone to escape attempts or wandering off can enjoy off-leash exercise in a large, safely enclosed farm shop.

At Farm Paws, we take behavioral issues seriously. In cases of aggression, emergency contacts may be called to pick up the pet as soon as possible due to the severity and safety of all involved.
For anxiety-related concerns, we are experienced with providing comfort, patience, and open communication with pet parents throughout the stays.
We understand that anxiety-related matters require special attention. During their stay, we may implement calming techniques, create safe spaces, provide mental stimulation, and establish a routine to help your pet feel secure and ease their anxieties.
-
In the event of a medical emergency with your dog, it's essential to act calmly, quickly and efficiently.
The first step is to contact you, the owner, immediately. If you cannot be reached, we will then contact your designated emergency contact.
Next, we will either take your dog to your preferred veterinarian or the nearest vet, depending on the situation. Remember, staying calm and prepared is crucial in these circumstances.
